Reading Flower Meadows July 2012

The annual flower meadows are growing quite well now and in some parks you can find the first little white flowers of Sweet Alyssum (Lobularia maritima) open.

Most other plants are not flowering yet but it is worth to have a look every other week as more and more plants will come into flower now.

The perennial flower meadows are a bit slow growing and unfortunately some have unwanted weed growth.

But if you look closer you can find young plants of Ox-eye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare), Black Knapweed (Centaurea nigra), Yarrow (Achillea millefolium), Birdsfood Trefoil (Lotus corniculatus) and other nice meadow plants growing in the perennial flower meadows.
